Easter Mani #1

Hi all!

Today I am just going to be sharing my first Easter themed manicure of this year. Easter is in 4 days so I think I might squeeze one more mani in before it’s over.

This year I decided to go a bit simpler than I typically do. I chose a light mint base (Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet), did simple white dots on one finger, and little carrots on another. For the dots and carrots I just used a dotting tool – you can use anything you have, a bobby pin, a toothpick, you name it!

There’s my little guinea pig, Benny! Carrots are his favourite snack so he did not hesitate to take a bite right out of my nail polish :’) I tried to fix it a bit in the 2nd picture.

Last year my Easter manicure was more intense and included 6 colours (plus black and white) and a cute baby chick. You can check it out here if you’d like.

Hope you are doing well! Please share your Easter manicure ideas with me!

NOTD: Deborah Lippmann Cleopatra in New York

Hi everyone,

I’ve been changing my nail polish a lot more recently, and my current mani is by far one the prettiest polishes I’ve ever owned! A couple of weeks ago I was able to snag Deborah Lippmann’s Cleopatra in New York on eBay for $5 (steal!). I have had this polish on my wishlist for years, because of the lovely Zenorah who I follow on Instagram (link), Snapchat, and YouTube (link).

Easy Prom Nails for Every Dress (at home!) – DIY Prom Manicure

Hi guys –

Prom season is upon us! I can’t believe another school year has gone by, and that it’s now been FIVE years since I went to my senior prom… insane!

I did my nails the other day to try out a new polish I got, and I thought how pretty these nails would look for prom. They’re super easy, you only need 2 or 3 polishes, depending on which size glitter toppers you own.

I used purple polish and silver glitter, but you can definitely switch this up to match any dress, give a different pop of colour, or when it doubt, go with a nude nail polish for your base.

These are the nails I did:

Polishes Used:

Essie Play Date (purple)
Sinful Colors Queen of Beauty (fine silver glitter)
L.A. Colors Art Deco Silver Glitter – this is a skinny nail art brush polish, I found at my local dollar store (chunky silver glitter)

For this look, all you need is:

  1. Any colour nail polish of your choice
  2. A fine glitter topper
  3. A chunky glitter topper

Throwback Thursday #TBT! Nail Art Edition

Hi guys!

I’m just going to do a quick post today on something I’ve been thinking about for a while – Throwback Thursday! We all know and (probably secretly) love #TBT on Instagram, so I thought it would be cool to go back and look at some of the nail art I did way before I knew much about nail polish in general. Some of these are from 145 weeks ago (according to Instagram)!

Here are some of my faves – I must say I like em ;D though I am glad I’ve seen an improvement (click image to see it all up close and personal)
