IPSY June 2015 Glam Bag First Impression/Review!

Hi guys!

It’s been a while – life has been so crazy. I will definitely start posting more now that school is easing up for the summer months 🙂

When ipsy or myglam started a few years ago, I was one of the first people to sign up! However, I was disappointed and after a few months I cancelled my subscription. Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of buzz surrounding the new ipsy on Instagram and YouTube. It seemed like they had stepped their game up so I decided to give it another go. (click to enlarge!)

To my surprise, I am in awe! This is my June glam bag – I seemed to be in the first batch of people to receive theirs in the mail so I wanted to share. I am very impressed – $10 for all of this! This month I got 2 high end products (IT Cosmetics and Smashbox) and 3 new things to try. I am already crazy over the cream eyeshadow and the nail polish (review coming soon) and not too crazy on the eye pads but I will try them. I’ll be traveling out of the country soon so this was perfect timing.

Contents of my bag (June 2015):

  • IT Cosmetics brow power universal eyebrow pencil
  • Aurora Gel Effect Nail Polish- shade: 4 Alarm Fire
  • Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer- 0.25 fl oz
  • Altchek MD Eye Gel Pads (2)
  • tre’StiQue Shadow Crayon – shade: Marimoto Pink Pearl
  • Cute makeup bag – I think it’s waterproof!

Do you subscibe to ipsy? What did you get this month and what were your thoughts? I am so curious 🙂 I am actually excited about a subscription service for once. (I also got Birchbox for the first month and I am NOT impressed. If you want to see a review or what I got, let me know)

If you want to sign up for ipsy feel free to use my link: https://www.ipsy.com/new?refer=1km39

I saw what some of the other bags received and they were great products too. Very generously sized for samples – I don’t think you’d need more.

Hope you are all having a fun summer so far!

How to Save Money on Essie at the Drugstore: Nothing Over $6! (Essie Spring Haul $3.50 – $6 each)

Hi guys! Today I am going to share a few of the new nail polishes I’ve picked up for Spring. They happen to all be Essie, which is weird for me, as I rarely buy Essie’s – they’re pretty pricey and never have sales/coupons but I didn’t pay full price for any of these and I wanted to share how! I share my personal tips for: CVS, Walgreens, Target, and Kohl’s below. Continue reading
